A shocking lunch experience left one woman in Plympton, Devon, feeling a bit queasy after discovering her Co-op salad was teeming with bugs—after she had already eaten most of it! She initially mistook the little critters for part of the dressing, but a closer look revealed their tiny legs moving on the lettuce leaves. Yikes! 😲

After contacting Co-op, she received an apology and a £5 voucher. Although Co-op explained that while they don’t regularly use pesticides, they have processes to wash and inspect their salads thoroughly, this incident has left her wary of grabbing a ready-to-eat meal from their shelves again.

Co-op has assured that they’re investigating the matter with their suppliers to prevent such incidents in the future. But this certainly raises questions about what might be lurking in our grab-and-go meals.
