🐾 **Attention Dog Owners in Gwynedd!** 🐾

A dog owner in Bala has faced a hefty £452 fine after their pooch wandered into a restricted area and they failed to clean up after it! 🚫🐶
Cyngor Gwynedd isn’t messing around when it comes to keeping our public spaces clean and safe for everyone. Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO) mean areas like children’s play zones, school grounds, and certain beaches (April – Sept) are off-limits for your four-legged friends. 🏖️📚

Letting your dog leave a ‘gift’ without cleaning it up isn’t just gross—it’s illegal. The council is serious about cracking down on offenders, with potential on-the-spot fines of £100 or even prosecution with penalties up to £1,000! 💸

In a recent statement, Cllr June Jones emphasised: “We will not tolerate behaviour that compromises the hygiene, safety, and enjoyment of our public spaces.”
To support responsible dog ownership, the council offers free poo bags available at Caernarfon, Dolgellau, and Pwllheli’s Siop Gwynedd reception points and Gwynedd Libraries. 🚮
Remember, dog waste can pose health risks like toxocariasis, which in rare cases, causes serious conditions. Stay vigilant and report any incidents to the council to help keep our communities clean and safe.
Let’s work together to keep Gwynedd clean and green! 🌿
