🏉 Heart and Soul on the Field! 🐉
The Dragons put up a valiant fight in Johannesburg, securing a bonus point despite a 42-26 defeat to the formidable Lions in the United Rugby Championship.
🏃♂️ With thrilling tries from Aneurin Owen and Rio Dyer, the Dragons proved they’re not to be underestimated. Owen’s double whammy and Dyer’s superb efforts showed heart and skill as they temporarily nudged ahead.
🥇 However, the Lions roared back with six tries, seizing the reins with scores by Siba Mahashe, Richard Kriel, Chris Smith, and Nico Steyn. A yellow card setback didn’t tarnish the Dragons’ spirit, as Dyer crossed the line again for a dramatic final tally.
😮 Ultimately, even with late-game challenges, including positional shifts forced by injuries, the Dragons showcased resilience, ensuring they snatched a bonus consolation from the game.
👏 A round of applause for a match filled with effort, grit, and the unstoppable passion of rugby!
