🔍 **Justice Served, But Is It Enough?**

A notorious gang wreaked havoc across Newport, Cwmbran, and Pontypool by peddling cocaine through two dedicated lines, flooding South Wales with misery. Callum Nocivelli, 26, Gareth Hall, 27, and Declan Carr, 27, masterminded this operation, reaping over £300,000 from their illicit dealings via countless texts pushing their product.
📱 Despite the gang’s enormous illegal gains, they’ve been slapped with an order to repay just a fraction—£10,000 in total! Nocivelli’s earnings stood at a staggering £191,814, yet he only has assets worth £9,960. If he fails to pay this within three months, he faces an extra nine months behind bars. Meanwhile, Carr, who pocketed £130,727, has assets of £1,425 and faces a month’s imprisonment if he defaults.

🚓 After their arrests in 2024, following a police raid prompted by crucial phone evidence, the trio admitted to conspiracy to supply class A drugs. Nocivelli received a sentence of four years and eight months, Hall six years, and Carr four years.
🗨 PC Matthew Tucker summed up the case, highlighting the mountain of evidence linking the gang to the cocaine sale, with Nocivelli at the helm, Hall as a key member, and Carr running deals. Overwhelmed by the evidence, the defendants had no choice but to admit their guilt.
🏛 At a recent Cardiff Crown Court hearing, Judge Paul Hobson handed down the asset repayment orders under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
The streets might breathe a little easier, but with such lavish gains only lightly clawed back, is justice really being served? 🤔 What are your thoughts on this outcome? Let us know in the comments! 💬
