It was a tough end to the season for the Ospreys, facing a crushing defeat against Leinster in Dublin. With the match ending 68-14, the 10-try onslaught by the reigning champions left Mark Jones’ squad struggling to keep up at the Aviva Stadium.

The Ospreys were eager for a strong finish after a season marred by uncertainties and the Welsh Rugby Union’s rumoured plans to cut a professional team. Despite collecting the Welsh Shield last week, they end the season in 11th place.

This game also marked a significant farewell. Jac Morgan donned the Ospreys jersey for the last time before his move to Gloucester next season.
Leinster, on the other hand, were in unstoppable form as they prepared for the Champions Cup final. They secured a bonus point within just 23 minutes with tries from Joe McCarthy, Max Deegan, Josh van der Flier, and Jimmy O’Brien.
Huw Sutton gave the Ospreys a glimmer of hope by crossing over mid-first half, but Leinster’s dominance continued after the break. Garry Ringrose, Jordan Larmour, and an unstoppable McCarthy, who grabbed himself a hat-trick, kept the scores ticking for the home side.
James Lowe sealed the game with Leinster’s 10th try just after the hour mark. A late try by Wales fly-half Dan Edwards salvaged a crumb of consolation for the Ospreys as they said goodbye to their challenging season.
Despite the setback, there’s always next season. Here’s hoping for a fresh start and brighter days ahead for Ospreys fans. Keep the faith, and let’s look forward to what the future holds! 🏉💪
