**Kelly Rowland Joins The Voice UK as New Coach for 2025 Series**

Renowned singer Kelly Rowland has been unveiled as the latest addition to The Voice UK’s coaching panel for the upcoming 2025 season, stepping into the role previously held by country star LeAnn Rimes. The announcement marks a significant shake-up for the popular ITV talent show, renowned for its ability to discover and nurture new musical talent from across the country.
Rowland, best known as a founding member of global phenomenon Destiny’s Child, confirmed her excitement about joining the programme. “It’s a thrill to be invited to coach on The Voice UK,” said Rowland. “To work alongside such passionate, knowledgeable coaches and to witness the wealth of new talent is a fantastic opportunity. I’m ready to champion my contestants and see what incredible voices are waiting to be discovered.”

The accomplished artist will be joining a star-studded coaching line-up, which this year includes returning favourites: will.i.am, legendary Welsh singer Sir Tom Jones, and joint coaches Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones from British pop band McFly, who cemented their place last year by winning together as a duo—a format twist that resonated with fans and contestants alike.
Reflecting on the forthcoming series, Sir Tom Jones said: “It’s always a joy to come back to The Voice UK. Each year I’m reminded just how much untapped talent is out there. I’m especially looking forward to sitting alongside will.i.am again, having Tom and Danny back in their joint chair, and, of course, welcoming Kelly Rowland to our panel. She brings not only star power but a wealth of industry experience that will serve our contestants well.”
Kelly Rowland’s career is a story of international triumph. Rising to fame in the late 1990s as part of Destiny’s Child with Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams, she then enjoyed solo success with several UK chart-topping singles, including collaborations with rapper Nelly on “Dilemma” and DJ David Guetta on “When Love Takes Over”. Her solo album “Simply Deep” reached number one in the UK in 2003, cementing her reputation as a powerhouse vocalist and performer.
This isn’t Rowland’s first foray into talent show judging. She previously appeared on the eighth series of The X Factor UK, where she played a pivotal role in launching the career of Little Mix, the girl group who made history by winning the competition in 2011. Additionally, Rowland has honed her coaching skills on The Voice Australia from 2017 to 2020, earning a reputation for mentorship and guidance.
Returning as the show’s host, Emma Willis expressed her enthusiasm for the new season. “There’s just something magical about The Voice UK. Every year brings fresh passion, raw talent and jaw-dropping moments when those chairs spin. The return of our phenomenal coaches, now joined by the fabulous Kelly Rowland, makes this series one I cannot wait to share with viewers.”
Participants for The Voice UK will compete for a lucrative prize package, including a contract with Universal Music Group, £50,000 in cash, and the chance to experience a dream trip to Universal Studios Resort in Florida—a significant jumpstart for any aspiring artist.
Production is scheduled to commence filming this summer, with ITV expected to announce broadcast dates and additional details soon. The show’s enduring format and evolving coaching panel continue to attract a broad audience, sparking anticipation about which surprises the new season might bring.
