A beloved shop in Bargoed has been left in ruins after a dramatic car explosion! 🚗💥 Early morning chaos struck when a fire-engulfed car exploded and rolled straight into Occasions, the cherished card and gift shop on Hanbury Street. Local councillor Dawn Ingram-Jones raised the alarm just before 2am, but even the swift arrival of emergency services couldn’t prevent the fiery impact on this long-standing business.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, but the damage is extensive. The community’s outpouring of support has been strong, with hopes high for owner Sue to bounce back and rebuild what took years to establish. 🛍️❤️
The car owner’s devastation is shared by many, yet the cause of the blaze remains a mystery. Dawn expressed her gratitude to the quick response of the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, crediting them for preventing an even greater catastrophe. Let’s rally together and show support for our local treasures in times of need!
