🚫✈️ Cardiff to Scotland Flight Scrapped!
Sad news for travel between Wales and Scotland! The direct flight from Cardiff to Edinburgh is being axed by Loganair from January 2026. After reviewing demand, the airline decided to pause the service, making trips between these capitals a bit more complicated. 🏴🏴
Currently, this direct flight takes just about an hour, but come next year, those venturing North will need to fly via Belfast, making the trip around six hours long! Your quickest alternatives? Head over to Bristol, Birmingham, or Manchester for a shorter flight. 🤔✈️
The good news? The route will briefly return for the 2026 Six Nations from 20-22 February, letting rugby fans catch the match without a lengthy detour. 🏉🎉
Cardiff Airport expressed disappointment but remains hopeful, stating efforts to bring back the direct route are underway. Stay tuned for updates on any new developments! 📢
