🎄 Cheers to the festive season! Christmas just got a little merrier with over 100 pubs and bars across South Wales offering free or discounted drinks for designated drivers. From December to early January, participating venues are embracing the Des Scheme, a fantastic initiative by South Wales Police, to ensure festive nights out stay safe and responsible. 🚗🍹
Being the designated driver can be challenging, but thanks to the Des Scheme, you can enjoy complimentary or reduced-price soft drinks just by letting the bar staff know you’re the hero of the night. They’ll hook you up with a wristband for your free or discounted soft bevvies or squash. 🎉
With 120 venues taking part — including 41 in Swansea, 32 in Cardiff, and 13 in Neath Port Talbot — there are plenty of spots to enjoy a good time without compromising safety. Each pub or bar will decide how many drinks you can enjoy under the scheme, so why not take the wheel for your friends and enjoy some perks along the way? 🏆
South Wales Police aims to tackle the dangers of drink-driving, stressing the importance of road safety. Remember, alcohol and drugs can seriously impact driving skills and increase risky behaviour 🍻🚫. Celebrate wisely and keep our roads safe!
Check out your local favourites participating in this yuletide initiative. Whether you’re in Cardiff, Swansea or anywhere in between, a host of fantastic venues are ready to welcome designated drivers with open arms! 🍾🎊
So grab your friends, plan your night out, and be a part of this amazing effort to keep the roads safe during the holiday season. 🥳🎅
