Trying to put away a hearty roast of gammon, stuffing, roasties, veg, and a Yorkshire pud turned out to be quite the challenge for her friend. So, Ellis asked if they could take the leftovers home. Pretty straightforward, right? Wrong!
The staff told her they were short on takeaway boxes but could “wrap it up.” What came back left Ellis in shock—a whole roast wrapped in cling film like some kind of sausage roll. 🍖➡️🥴
Despite spotting takeaway boxes used for deliveries, her request for one was denied. Talking to the chef didn’t help as it wasn’t his call, but he knew it wasn’t quite right either. When management was approached, they insisted they were conserving containers. 😳
Ellis ultimately took her roast burrito home, unwrapped the questionable package, and wasn’t surprised to find a pile of “slop.” What’s even more baffling is Toby Carvery’s stance, saying their food is meant to be eaten on the spot to avoid any reheating issues. 🍽️🔥
