🌕✨ Coming up this Saturday night, don’t miss the epic conclusion of NASA’s Artemis II mission! After an incredible 10-day journey around the Moon, the Orion space capsule is headed for a thrilling splashdown in the Pacific Ocean. This marks the first crewed lunar adventure in over half a century! 🛰️
Onboard, we’ve got an all-star team of astronauts: Commander Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch from NASA, alongside Jeremy Hansen from the Canadian Space Agency. Though they didn’t set foot on the Moon, they’ve smashed records by venturing about 4,700 miles beyond it! 🌌
This mission is paving the way for future lunar landings. Next up, Artemis III will see further testing with advanced lunar landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin. 🚀
For this historic splashdown, the US Navy is all set to greet the team off the coast of San Diego. Recovery crews are standing by to whisk our space heroes safely back to shore for some well-earned medical check-ups before they head home. 🚁
Want to catch this live from the UK? Tune into NASA+ for live coverage starting at 11:30 pm UK time on Saturday night. Expect to see the Orion’s fiery re-entry through Earth’s atmosphere just after midnight, with the anticipated splashdown around 1:07 am BST. 📺🔥
Set your alarms and grab your popcorn – it’s going to be out of this world! 🌍🛰️💫
