🚨 **Dramatic Police Chase in Wrexham!** 🚨

A high-speed pursuit in Wrexham had everyone on edge when 19-year-old Alfie Hughes and his passenger were knocked off their bike during a police chase. Captured on video, the duo was seen racing along pavements before they were finally intercepted in Borras Park.

After being knocked from the bike, Hughes and his friend tried to escape on foot. The police weren’t far behind though, calling in a helicopter equipped with thermal imaging to track them down. The chase came to an end with the suspects discovered hiding among the bushes near Acton Park lake. Bodycam footage shows the tense moment officers closed in, Taser in hand, commanding the pair to show their hands.
Not surprisingly, Hughes faced the music at Mold Magistrates’ Court, owning up to charges including driving without due care, lack of insurance, and dodging police. His sentence? A six-month driving ban and a hefty fine nearing £300.
Sgt. Danny Rees commented that the officers were in the area due to an uptick in antisocial motorbike antics. He lauded his team for halting Hughes’ reckless ride, aimed at keeping pedestrians safe. Sgt. Rees had a message for the community: “Antisocial riding won’t be tolerated. Help us keep our streets safe by reporting troublesome bikes in your area.”
Remember, the police will utilise every tool to stop dangerous riders in their tracks before someone gets seriously hurt. Stay safe, and let’s keep our communities protected! 🏍️🚔
