🏉 Super Rygbi Cymru Action! 🏉
Ebbw Vale missed a golden opportunity to secure the top spot after a tough 18-10 defeat against RGC at Eugene Cross Park. Despite a solid start with Ieuan Morris crossing the line and Tom Price nailing the conversion, the Steelmen couldn’t hold onto their lead. Caio Parry’s impressive try and Connor Dever’s swift play had the Gogs claiming victory and moving up with three wins in a row.
The competition is tight with only one round left! Ebbw Vale still have a shot at maintaining their lead next week against Carmarthen Quins. A victory there keeps them at the top, but any slip-ups could pave the way for Cardiff to swoop in and steal the spotlight.
Over at Pontypool, Llandovery let a 17-point lead slip away, ending with a disappointing 40-24 loss, while Swansea found themselves edged out 34-33 by Bridgend Ravens. Both Llandovery and Swansea are in a nail-biting race for the final top-four spot, with everything to play for next weekend.
Aberavon, meanwhile, climb higher with back-to-back wins after overcoming Carmarthen Quins 20-15, dashing the latter’s hopes for a top-six finish. Next week sees more thrilling fixtures as RGC take on Bridgend, and Swansea battle Cardiff, while Llandovery face an in-form Aberavon.
Who do you reckon will clinch the remaining spots? Let the games begin! 🙌🤞
