🚨 Dramatic Rescue off the Welsh Coast! 🚤

In an incredible late-night rescue mission, an 84-year-old man was saved after falling overboard while returning to his yacht near Tenby. Stranded and clinging to rocks, his distress was met with swift action from the Tenby RNLI lifeboats. 🌊

The adventurous night began when HM Coastguard received a Mayday call about a man struggling after setting off in a tender from shore. Both Tenby’s all-weather and inshore lifeboats launched into the night, scouring the waters from St Catherine’s Island to the North Highcliffe buoy. Their efforts paid off when a parachute flare illuminated the area, revealing the tender—but it was empty. 👀

Amidst the search, shouts for help were heard, guiding the rescuers to their target. Local hero, Josh Dean, rushed in with crucial information about the man’s whereabouts. His quick thinking led the team to find the man trapped in a cave beneath St Catherine’s Island. With teamwork and precision, they swiftly brought him aboard to safety. 🛥️
Thank goodness for quick responses and the courage of those involved! The man was taken back to Tenby Harbour for a health check and was in the care of the Coastguard Rescue Team while awaiting an ambulance. 🙌
Big shoutout to Josh Dean, who played a pivotal role in the rescue. RNLI praised him, stating, “The information Josh provided was invaluable”. 🏅
A heartwarming reminder of the incredible courage and community spirit found on our shores. 🌟 Stay safe everyone!
