Tragic news from south-east London: an 84-year-old woman, Doris Innes, has passed away following a stabbing incident right outside her home. Her son, Giorgio Pin, aged 62, has been arrested and charged with her murder, as well as two counts of attempted murder involving threats to others in the area.

The shocking events unfolded on Wednesday morning in Plumstead, with authorities receiving reports of a man wielding a knife on Red Lion Place at around 8:50 am. The situation prompted a swift response from the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service. Sadly, despite their efforts, Doris succumbed to her injuries in hospital.

Giorgio Pin was apprehended just twenty minutes after the initial call, and now faces serious legal proceedings. The community is reeling from this devastating event, as we await further developments. Pin is expected to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

Our thoughts are with the affected family and community during this difficult time. 🌹
