A shocking incident unfolded at the Brodawel caravan park in Porthcawl, leaving a grandmother, Kelly Prosser, with severe injuries. Last March, during a family gathering, Kelly simply asked Shawna Miller to lower her noise as her grandson was asleep. What happened next was unimaginable.

Shawna, 28, lashed out violently, slamming Kelly’s face against the side of a caravan, knocking out two of her front teeth. The attack left Kelly with multiple injuries, including a fractured nose and severe bruising, causing her to feel “disgusted” by her own reflection. Her partner managed to intervene, but the damage had been done.
In court, Shawna admitted to the assault. Previously, she’d denied involvement, but evidence told another story. With a past conviction for battery, this was not her first run-in with the law. Her actions were attributed to a cocktail of alcohol, drugs, and unresolved personal issues.

The aftermath of this brutal event has been devastating for Kelly. Her recovery has been fraught with physical and emotional hurdles, affecting her confidence, work, and relationships. She had to undergo emergency dental care and even faced challenges with her mental health, struggling to look at herself in the mirror.
The court sentenced Shawna to 14 months in prison and ordered her to pay £500 in compensation. This tragic story serves as a stark reminder of how a peaceful evening can turn into a nightmare due to thoughtless violence.
Our hearts go out to Kelly and her family as they work to rebuild their lives. Let’s hope this serves as a wake-up call about the consequences of unchecked aggression. Hug those you love a little tighter tonight and let’s spread kindness, not violence. ❤️
