Attention, Swansea! Things got a bit out of hand this Saturday night, prompting the police to step up and take action. Reports of youth-related anti-social behaviour in the city centre have led South Wales Police to enforce a dispersal order lasting 12 hours. This order covers key areas like Swansea Bus Station, Swansea Quadrant, and Parc Tawe.

So, what exactly does this mean? Under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, the police now have the authority to ask individuals to leave the area. Ignoring these orders could lead to criminal charges, even if no crime is initially being committed.

Sgt. Molly Llewellyn made it clear: “This type of behaviour will not be tolerated.” She urged parents and guardians to keep tabs on their children’s whereabouts to help maintain a safe community.

Let’s work together to keep our city safe! If you’re in the area, make sure you’re aware of the new measures in place and spread the word. Swansea deserves a calm and safe environment for everyone. 💙

Stay safe and stay informed!
