🎯 Shock at the World Darts Championship! 🎯

Last night was full of twists and turns as Dutch underdog Wesley Plaisier stunned the audience by knocking out Welsh darts champ Gerwyn Price in straight sets! Price, who had high hopes of reclaiming the title he won four years ago, now faces a wait until 2026 for another shot at victory.

It wasn’t all gloom, though. In an earlier thriller against Joe Cullen, Price secured a nail-biting 4-3 win, leaving fans, especially his wife Bethan, on edge. Captured in the crowd with teary eyes and hands shaking in joy, Bethan was the epitome of emotion and support as Price celebrated his success on stage.
But the spotlight quickly shifted when Plaisier took to the oche. Known as a forklift driver by day, the Dutchman showed incredible composure, consistently hitting doubles and leaving Price with little room to manoeuvre. After his massive win, Plaisier expressed his disbelief, dubbing it his greatest victory ever and thanking the fans who made it special.
Price, visibly composed after the exit, took to Instagram to share his feelings. “Absolutely gutted, but the support was amazing. Wesley was great at the right moments, but I was off my game. Good luck to him and everyone else still standing. See you in 2026!”
With emotions running high and some incredible darts gracing the Championship, it’s a Christmas season to remember for darts fans. Here’s wishing everyone a Merry Christmas from the heart of the action! 🎅🎄🎯
