While Joshua survived, only needing hospital treatment for his injuries, the loss of his friends has hit him deeply.
Sharing his grief on Instagram, the two-time world champion expressed gratitude for the moments shared with his ‘brothers’. He reflected, “I didn’t even realise how special they are. I was just walking with them and cracking jokes, not even knowing I was in the presence of great men.” Joshua acknowledged the pain of their families and remarked, “It’s tough for me, but even tougher for their parents. May God have mercy on my brothers.”
