Cardiff City fans are on cloud nine after their team’s promotion victory! The atmosphere was electric at the home game against Port Vale, with supporters waving bright banners, flags, and scarves in celebration. Last week, the Bluebirds clinched promotion back to the Championship with a thrilling win over Reading, and now they finally got to enjoy the moment at their beloved Cardiff City Stadium.
But amidst the cheers and sunshine, there was a heartfelt tribute to lifelong fan Dai Hunt, who sadly passed away less than a day after witnessing the team’s promotion. Dai, a dedicated supporter for over 60 years, was remembered fondly. A beautiful tribute with flowers was placed outside the stadium, and an emotional minute of applause echoed on the 67th minute of the game. Dai would have been proud, especially after seeing Cardiff secure a 1-0 win, thanks to a late goal from Rubin Colwill.
The day was perfect for both celebration and remembrance, reflecting the community spirit that lives on at Cardiff City. Fans of all ages came together, donning their best Bluebirds gear and enjoying the warm weather. The future looks bright, and with Cardiff back in the Championship, excitement is building for what’s to come.
Share in the joy and take a look at some of the day’s best moments as we celebrate this new chapter for Cardiff City. The victory was sweet, and the heartfelt remembrance of a cherished fan made it even more special. Dai Hunt’s legacy will surely live on in the hearts of many. ⚽💙 #Bluebirds #CardiffCity #PromotionParty #DaiHuntTribute
