🏉 Big News from England Rugby! 🇬🇧
After a rocky Six Nations, England Rugby is standing firm with head coach Steve Borthwick despite three consecutive losses to Scotland, Ireland, and Italy. The latter was particularly surprising as it marked England’s first-ever loss to the Italians, intensifying scrutiny on the current coaching team.
The Rugby Football Union (RFU) isn’t backing down, stating they are “fully committed” to Borthwick leading the team in next year’s World Cup in Australia. RFU Chief Bill Sweeney assures fans that the team is tirelessly working on improvements and remains dedicated to backing Borthwick and his squad, especially as they prepare to face France.
With England fans eagerly watching their next moves, the coaching team’s fate isn’t off the bookies’ radar. Ronan O’Gara, former Ireland fly-half, is currently the favourite at 3/1 to step in if there’s a change. Hot on his heels is Andy Farrell at 4/1, accompanied by other notable names like Scott Robertson and Rob Baxter (both 8/1).
It’s a precarious time for England Rugby, but they’re committed to turning things around. Can they bounce back from a challenging campaign? We’ll be watching! 🏆💪
