Tough day for Wales Women at Ashton Gate as England claim a dominant 62-24 victory. But heads held high as Sean Lynn’s squad claimed a crucial losing bonus point in the process.

England impressively ran in 10 tries, with standout performances from Marlie Packer and Meg Jones. It was a whirlwind start with Maddie Feaunati bulldozing over for the first try early on. Packer proved unstoppable, contributing significantly to England’s points tally with tries from powerful set-pieces.

Despite the tough opposition, Wales showed flashes of brilliance. Scrum-half Keira Bevan was electric, sniping through England’s defence to score Wales’ first try, and later setting up others. Kelsey Jones, Bethan Lewis and Seren Lockwood also crossed the line, highlighting Wales’ fighting spirit.
England’s relentless attacking game and solid defence made things tough for the Welsh side, especially with a yellow card for Kayleigh Powell adding to Wales’ challenges. Yet, in the dying moments, Wales managed a final try, securing a hard-fought bonus point.
Coach Sean Lynn can certainly take some positives: this was Wales’ highest ever points tally against England. The resilience and determination shown promises a bright future for this team, even in the face of strong sides like England.
