πποΈ Sad news for sauna lovers! The beloved wood-fired sauna at Saundersfoot harbour is set to leave its stunning seaside spot. Despite winning hearts and a petition with 558 signatures backing its stay, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park has decided it has to go.

Kerry Evans, the brain behind this wellness hotspot, transformed the sauna into a cherished part of the community. It’s more than just a place to unwind; it’s brought people together, boosted local wellbeing, and even bagged “Sauna of the Year”! π

The temporary permission granted in 2024 wasn’t enough for a permanent seat at the seaside. Despite its popularity and media buzz for promoting coastal wellbeing, planners said its current location impacts the picturesque surroundings and restricts promenade access.
There’s still hope, though! π Discussions about finding a new home for the sauna within the harbour area are on the table. Ms Evans emphasised the saunaβs magic lies in its current spot, with breath-taking views and privacy for visitors.
Will this cherished sauna find another perfect perch to keep warming hearts? Let’s hope Saundersfoot finds a way to keep this wellness gem glowing! β¨πͺ
