🌙 Scorching Nights in Wales! 🌡️🔥

Wales is basking in some intense heat this week with record-breaking highs! After reaching a sizzling 32.2°C at Hawarden Airport on Monday, Tuesday could be even hotter with forecasts hitting 33°C. But the heat isn’t just a daytime affair—tonight’s set to be steamy as well.

The Met Office forecasts some parts of Wales may see temperatures stay above 20°C even after midnight, making it a perfect excuse to extend your summer evening plans! Although we might not hit the “tropical night” threshold (where temps don’t fall below 20°C for 24 hours), it’s not going to cool off much. 🥵

The weather experts suggest that thunderstorms could bubble up later in the day, so keep an eye on the sky if you’re out and about in the south. For most of us, the evening will remain warm and clear with minimal chances of a breeze to break the heat.
Wondering how to sleep through the swelter? Here are some handy tips:
1. 🌀 Create a cross breeze by placing a fan by an open window.
2. 🛌 Swap heavy duvets for lighter sheets.
3. 👕 Opt for natural fibre sleepwear to stay cool.
4. 🌿 Shut blinds during the day to keep the heat out.
5. 🚿 Fancy a hot shower before bed? It helps your body cool down faster.
6. ❄️ Chill your socks and wear them to bed.
Don’t let the heatwave steal your sleep—stay hydrated and perhaps pop a cold water bottle into your bed an hour before turning in. 😉
