Exciting news for shoppers in South Wales! 🛒 Aldi has just announced the opening of two brand-new stores in Newport and Port Talbot, set to open in the coming months. 🎉
This expansion is part of Aldi’s ambitious plan to open 16 new stores across the UK as part of a massive £370 million investment. With over 1,080 stores nationwide, Aldi is pushing to hit its goal of 1,500, bringing high-quality, affordable food to even more communities.
Newport’s new location will be the third Aldi store in the area, joining the existing stores on Albany Street and Spytty Road. Meanwhile, Port Talbot shoppers will enjoy a second Aldi, complementing the one on Commercial Road.
Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, shared that their mission is to make affordable groceries accessible to everyone. This growth isn’t just about groceries—it’s about supporting local economies and providing more opportunities with industry-leading pay for colleagues. 💼💪
