🏉 Rugby Fans, Get Ready! 🏉
The Scarlets are taking on the mighty Northampton Saints today in a crucial Investec Champions Cup match. This isn’t just any game—it’s a must-win for the Scarlets to make it to the knockout stages. And with the recent appointment of former Wales coach Nigel Davies as interim director of rugby, things just got even more exciting!
Nigel Davies is taking charge of the team as they face off against the Saints at the legendary Franklin’s Gardens. It’s his first game in charge, and he’s got a tall order ahead of him. A defeat of the Saints would not only secure a spot in the second-tier Challenge Cup but an additional bonus point could catapult the team into the Champions Cup’s round of 16. No pressure, right?
But don’t count the Scarlets out just yet. Number 10 sensation and Wales international Sam Costelow returns to the squad from an Achilles injury, and Joe Hawkins shifts back to inside centre where he’ll team up with Eddie James. Max Douglas is also back in action after his New Year’s Day red card suspension.
As for Northampton, they’re looking for redemption after a tough Sunday loss in Bordeaux. It’s going to be an exhilarating match between two formidable sides!
