Exciting plans are afoot for a massive new resort in South Wales! Picture this: futuristic museums, indoor playgrounds with giant mazes, a super-sized helter-skelter, and life-sized snakes and ladders. Oh, and let’s not forget the buzzing food markets offering locally-sourced treats and DIY workshops!
The proposed attraction, called Xanadoo, promises to be a game-changer with an estimated 600,000 visitors flocking in every year and creating 250 new jobs. The mastermind behind this ambitious project is Gaynor Coley, a co-founder of Cornwall’s iconic Eden Project. Coley envisions Xanadoo becoming a world-class destination, bringing a major environmental and economic boost to the area.
Right now, potential sites in Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, and Swansea are all being scouted out. One location in Pontypool was on the cards but seems to have been ruled out now. The team is keen to hear from anyone with a great site in mind, suggesting they’re casting a wide net to find the perfect spot.
Xanadoo aims to blend science and art, offering attractions for all ages. Visitors can expect to dive into groundbreaking innovations through virtual reality and more. If this sounds like a place for you, keep an eye out for updates as this visionary project unfolds!
Who else is daydreaming about a trip to Xanadoo? 🏰🎢✨
