🚨 Major Fire at Tata Steel in Port Talbot! 🚒
A massive blaze broke out at the Tata steelworks this week, and it took 36 hours and over 100 brave firefighters to bring it under control. First images from inside the wrecked building reveal a collapsed roof, debris everywhere, and major water damage.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and all workers were evacuated safely. This fire required a huge effort, with 31 fire engines called to the scene. The building, which functions as a cold mill and pickle line, suffered substantial damage to a crucial production line.
Multiple agencies, including South Wales Police and the ambulance service, were on site to assist in managing the incident. Alarms first blared around 7 PM on Wednesday as thick black smoke billowed from the plant, alarming nearby residents.
