🎱 Snooker drama at the World Championship! 🎱

Mark Williams, the legendary snooker ace, has finally spoken about the much-discussed introductions made by his good friend, Rob Walker. If you caught it, you’ll know that Walker’s light-hearted jibes at the Crucible got people talking on and off social media!

During the opening of Williams’ match against Antoni Kowalski, Walker humorously recalled Williams’ snooker debut back in 1997, mentioning his full head of hair and perfect vision back then. “The eyesight is going, the hair is long gone, but make no mistake, he is one of the all-time greats,” Walker said to a bustling crowd.
While some fans were quick to criticise Walker’s quips, suggesting they were a bit too cheeky, Williams brushed off the criticism with his trademark humour. In true Williams style, he even jokingly aimed a mock kick at Walker!
Williams later commented on the incident saying, “I don’t mind what Rob says. I couldn’t give a monkey’s. It’s all in good fun!” He’s not one to take things too seriously and enjoys a bit of banter, especially on Twitter.
The banter between Williams and Walker is part of what makes these tournaments so entertaining. What do you think? Are these light-hearted digs all in good fun, or did they cross the line?
