Exciting changes are coming to Swansea city centre! After months of anticipation, the facelift for Castle Square is finally taking shape, and we can’t wait to see the results. Once buried under rubble, this iconic spot is being transformed into a green oasis with more trees, comfy seating, a sparkling water feature, and revamped event spaces.

The council’s vision, led by Rob Stewart, is to create a vibrant, welcoming space that locals and visitors will enjoy for years to come. The main contractor, Knights Brown, has been hard at work since the spring, making significant strides. Despite the extensive changes, access for pedestrians and businesses is still open, thanks to those towering 8-foot hoardings keeping everything on track.
What makes this project even more special is its rich history. Castle Square has witnessed many transformations since World War II, when it was heavily bombed during the Three-Night Blitz. This latest makeover promises not only to honour its past but also to build a greener, brighter future for Swansea.

Keep an eye out for all the updates as we edge closer to the anticipated opening in summer 2027. Swansea is on the brink of something amazing! 🌳✨ #SwanseaTransformation #CastleSquareGreenRevamp #CommunityRevival
