Exciting news for Cardiff families! Ely and Caerau Children’s Centre is getting a fantastic new extension designed to cater to community needs. The makeover will bring a modern twist, integrating seamlessly with the existing building, and will serve as a hub for socialising and meeting up.
The standout feature? A brand-new community room right by the main entrance. This flexible space is perfect for hosting events, meetings, and social activities, encouraging local engagement like never before. Built with timber-effect cladding and sleek aluminium windows, the design promises a contemporary yet harmonious finish that respects the original architecture.
The revamp isn’t just about looks—it’s all about boosting functionality and accessibility. The layout cleverly links new and old spaces, ensuring everyone, including those with mobility needs, can navigate easily. Plus, staff will enjoy updated training rooms and breakout areas scattered throughout the centre.
This development is environmentally thoughtful and visually cohesive, aiming to enhance user experience without disrupting the local community’s charm. We can’t wait to see how this project will breathe new life into the centre, making it an even more inviting and inclusive space for everyone.
Watch this space for updates on the transformation and get ready to enjoy a renewed community gem right in the heart of Ely! 🌟
