🛒 With 59% of people finding it nearly impossible to steer clear of UPFs on a budget, many are calling for a ban. And it’s not just about the wallet; 68% want the Government to step up and regulate these foods more strictly.

🚸 Parents and teachers, take note: 74% think schoolkids should learn about the dangers of UPFs versus the benefits of home-cooked meals. Meanwhile, 77% are in favour of clear warning labels to help make smarter choices in the shops.

But here’s the catch 🍽️— a significant number of us don’t have the time (44%), find it too complicated (16%), or worry about the cost (19%) of cooking from scratch. Yet, many are trying! About 31% of folks have been cooking more from scratch in just the last year alone.

Health experts warn that UPFs—like ice cream, processed meats, crisps, and fizzy drinks—often contain high levels of unhealthy fats, sugars, and additives. This not only affects diet quality but also increases the risk of obesity, heart disease, cancer, and even early death. 😲

Imagine the benefits: nutritious meals that boost energy and give a sense of personal achievement! 🥗💪 Wendy Miranda from Lakeland shares, “Knowing what goes into our food is empowering.”

It’s time to rethink our shopping habits and what we put on our plates. Let’s push for change and make healthier food choices more accessible for everyone. 🌱✨
