TV psychic John Starkey has been labelled a “complete charlatan” by a judge after admitting to sexually assaulting two women. The so-called “internationally renowned clairvoyant” missed earlier court dates, claiming mix-ups with dates and even booking a holiday. Starkey, 74, assaulted his first victim in Wolverhampton in October 2018 and again in a London hotel later that year. His second victim was attacked in October 2022 at his own clairvoyant shop in Llandudno during what was supposed to be a consultation. He inappropriately touched the woman and suggested a naked massage. Judge Rhys Rowlands slammed Starkey for his tactics to delay justice and underscored the impact on his victims who are waiting for this ordeal to end. Starkey, from Upper Colwyn Bay, is set to return to court in June for sentencing. This case shines a disturbing light on the abuse of trust and the measures some will take to avoid accountability. Let’s stand with the victims and hope for a swift resolution.
