In a shockingly dramatic turn of events in Newport, family tensions reached a boiling point leading to a street brawl that saw a pregnant woman and her sister-in-law clash violently. The confrontation unfolded when Amy Pyart, who was eight months pregnant, allegedly punched Tilly Fielding in the face, leaving her with a black eye. As if that wasn’t enough, Pyart’s partner, Leighton Pearce, arrived on the scene, seemingly out of nowhere, driving a car at speed and reportedly forced Fielding into a hedge, trapping her legs beneath the vehicle.

The catalyst of the altercation appears to have been a long-running feud within the family, which tragically spiralled into this public showdown. Though tensions ignited initially as a verbal argument, they quickly escalated when tempers frayed outside Pyart’s flat and then again near her mother’s home, following a minor incident involving a bin.

Fielding, bruised and shaken, managed to escape and later reported the frightening incident to the police. Pyart, aged 32, was arrested and admitted to affray in court, where she insisted she had acted in self-defence after hearing raised voices and fearing for her mother’s safety.
In what has been described as a volatile encounter, Pyart faced the court for sentencing but was handed a £200 fine, given her previously clean record and the context of family discord that led to the incident.
Recorder Barry Clarke acknowledged these entrenched family tensions while imposing the fine, expressing hopes that Pyart would steer clear of future legal troubles, especially with her fourth child on the way soon.
Meanwhile, her partner Pearce has already faced fines and driving penalties for his part in the chaotic scene. Here’s hoping that this family can find some peace moving forward and that this marks the end of their courtroom dramas!
