As if that wasn’t enough, Wilson’s son was injured in a school accident, sustaining a fractured eye socket and broken nose, which required surgery and numerous hospital visits. Despite this, Wilson’s spirit remains unbroken, speaking with pride about his son’s resilience.
Balancing these personal trials with a snooker career was no easy feat. Wilson was knocked out early at the Saudi Arabia Snooker Championship by Neil Robertson, yet he still bagged ÂŁ50,000 for his brief appearance. Though snooker took a backseat, his devotion to the sport never wavered.
Wilson confesses, “There have been lots of things going on with the family. Snooker has had to take a little bit of a backseat.” However, his unwavering commitment sees him persist through tournaments, a testament to his ambition and love for the game.
