🚨 Shocking Family Cover-Up to Evade Justice 🚨

A shocking tale of deception unfolds as a family went to incredible lengths to cover up a teenager’s grave mistake. Kaylem Longhurst, aged just 16 at the time, thought he had killed five-year-old Arlo Buckley after a tragic crash involving an off-road motorbike in Shotton, Flintshire. Instead of helping, he fled the scene, igniting a desperate conspiracy to escape justice.

Caernarfon Crown Court heard how Longhurst’s mum, Terry Follows, masterminded a plan with the help of his sister, Cara Haran, and her ex-partner, Shane Hunt. Haran burned Kaylem’s clothes and dumped the motorbike, orchestrating a getaway trip to York. But justice was gaining ground, and soon the truth could no longer be hidden.
As police closed in, the family’s lies unravelled. Haran eventually confessed her role, but not before a trial revealed the disturbing extent of their conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
The judge saw through their feigned remorse, sentencing Longhurst to 14 months in a young offenders institute, and banning him from driving for years. Follows received 26 months, Hunt got 21, and Haran nine months.
The court heard tragic statements from Arlo’s parents, who stayed by his hospital bed, praying for his recovery from severe injuries, including skull fractures. A heroic effort by emergency services saved Arlo’s life, while dedicated police work ensured justice was served.
Detective Inspector Katie Davies praised Arlo’s bravery and thanked the public for their invaluable help. This tragic story serves as a stern reminder that justice will catch up with those who try to outrun it. 💔
