Meet brave Noa-Rose Alderman, a little girl with a heart full of courage! 🎗️ At just three, while enjoying a day at the park, Noa-Rose began experiencing pain in her legs. What seemed like typical growing pains soon turned into every parent’s nightmare as they rushed her to the hospital, only to find out she had a life-threatening infection: meningococcal type B meningitis.

In the nick of time, the quick actions of her parents and the hospital staff saved her life. Though she pulled through, Noa-Rose now faces lifelong health challenges, including epilepsy and memory issues. Her journey hasn’t been easy, but her spirit remains unbroken.

Now seven, Noa-Rose is determined to make a difference. She’s not just a survivor; she’s a fighter with a mission to raise awareness about meningitis. 🌟 Her incredible efforts have made her a finalist for the BBC Making a Difference Awards, where she’s nominated for the Young Hero award.
This young warrior isn’t just waiting for change; she’s making it happen. From organising charity car washes to trekking up Pen-y-Fan, she and her community have raised nearly £10,000 for Meningitis Now. Her story, featured on TV and in powerful campaigns, aims to educate others about the symptoms of this rapid and severe illness, potentially saving more lives.
Noa-Rose’s mum, Emma, reflects on their challenging journey with a new-found purpose. “Everything she’s been through can’t just be in vain,” she says. Noa-Rose’s story teaches us the importance of awareness and resilience, reminding us all that in the face of adversity, even the smallest voices can lead to the biggest changes. 💪💕
