🚨 **Back Behind Bars: Rhys Hall’s Final Chance Lost** 🚨

Rhys Hall from Abertillery is back in prison after getting caught selling cocaine yet again. The 25-year-old was previously given a chance to avoid jail due to his cystic fibrosis, but he couldn’t stay away from trouble.

Originally spared prison in 2021 for dealing cocaine and ecstasy, Rhys tried to shake off a life of crime. His father, Lyn Hall, wasn’t so lucky and was jailed for their shared drug dealing scheme. Sadly, Rhys was drawn back in, attempting to settle his father’s debts from behind bars.
Things took a turn for the worse by 2022, leading to a jail sentence. Immediately after being released, he slipped back into old habits, repeating the same mistakes that got him into trouble in the first place.
Fast forward to today, Hall’s luck has run dry. Cardiff Crown Court sentenced him to five years and 219 days for cocaine distribution. His arrest followed a police raid on a property in Swffryd in January.
Caught driving while disqualified and without insurance, he was found with cocaine and three mobile phones. A dealer’s list on his phone revealed he was owed £2,000 from drug sales. This led to charges of cocaine supply, possession, and other offences.
Despite the court’s sympathy for his past struggles and family ties, Judge Shomon Khan highlighted the deep tragedy of Rhys being sucked into his father’s criminal world. Rhys’s repeated poor choices culminated in this ultimate setback.
Gwent Police remain steadfast and urge anyone with information on drug activity to come forward. Stay vigilant and support the community by reporting illegal actions to help clamp down on crime in your area.
Let’s hope Rhys Hall’s story serves as a cautionary tale for others to steer clear of crime’s grip.
