Jordan Hamilton gambled with his future, dealing cocaine and cannabis, but it didn’t end well. Now, he’s facing over two years behind bars and an ‘enforced absence’ from his kids. The court heard that Hamilton, knowing the risk, involved his partner Gemma Davies in the operation, turning their home into a hub for drug supply.

When their Pontardawe residence was raided, police discovered a treasure trove of incriminating evidence, including messages on Hamilton’s phone pointing to drug deals and collaboration with Davies. In one instance, he messaged her to “bring scales and bags” for a waiting customer.

Both Hamilton and Davies, who are first-time offenders, pleaded guilty to the charges. Hamilton expressed remorse in court, acknowledging the impending separation from his children due to his actions. Davies, on the other hand, claimed she acted under his influence and was left deeply embarrassed by the situation.

Judge Paul Thomas KC delivered a stern reminder that the gamble of drug dealing doesn’t pay and comes with a hefty price. As a result, Hamilton will serve 33 months in prison.

The story doesn’t end there for Davies. Her sentencing has been delayed as the Probation Service explores potential options like mental health treatment and curfew. But she’ll remain in custody until the final decision is made.
