High-speed police chases are gripping enough, but this one took a twist! Meet Mariglen Llapushi, an Albanian man who thought he could outrun the law but unintentionally led officers straight to his hideout. On a late June night, a patrol officer spotted Llapushi speeding through Aberystwyth. Instead of stopping, he hit the gas, and what followed was a thrilling pursuit!

Llapushi abandoned his car on a farm track, leaving behind seven bags of cocaine. But here’s the kicker: he left a keychain tag with his hotel address on it! As luck would have it, the police found him sitting in a taxi nearby, holding a Four Seasons hotel receipt. Talk about leading the police right to your doorstep, eh?
Upon searching his hotel room, there wasn’t much left, but a video on his phone showed him burying more cocaine nearby. Officers recovered 19 more wraps, worth a whopping £760 in total. Llapushi, already banned from driving, had rented the car with a fake identity. His trial revealed a history of drug and motoring offences, as well as a tale of being forced into illegal activities by gangsters who smuggled him into the UK.

He now faces a three-year prison sentence and deportation. His solicitor warns that leaving his family behind in the UK may be the harshest punishment he faces. Judge Huw Rees emphasised that the courts had shown leniency in the past, but enough is enough.

It’s a wild tale of attempted getaways, mistaken reveals, and ultimately, justice caught up with him. What do you think—did he write his own fate, or was he truly out of choices? Share your thoughts! #CrimeChase #LawAndOrder #JusticeServed
