☀️☂️ Weather Alert: Heatwaves could linger until September, but don’t pack away your brolly just yet!

The Met Office has revealed its long-range weather forecast, and it’s a mix of sun and showers for Wales. July saw scorching temps, turning parks and fields a crispy yellow, and even sparked drought warnings in some areas. Hosepipe bans were slapped on regions in west Wales as we all tried to beat the heat.

But here’s the twist: After a dry spell, rain is set to make a comeback this weekend with the first downpour in over a month! While temperatures are set to drop, forecasters warn this dip might not last – more heatwaves could be around the corner until September.
Expect a changeable August with some rain to break the dry spell, but keep your sun hats nearby as warmer spells are possible, especially in the south. Looking further ahead, the latter half of August and beyond could see drier, more settled conditions with above-normal temperatures lingering – perhaps bringing back that holiday heat!
So, whether you’re a sun seeker or a rain dancer, it looks like we’ve got a bit of everything heading our way. Keep an eye out for those unexpected showers, and don’t forget to stay hydrated if the heat decides to return! 🌡️💧
