BBC Morning Live favourite, Gethin Jones, is stepping out in a big way! Known for his lively presence on TV, Gethin is now embarking on an incredible journey beyond the screen. He’s been named the chef de mission for Team Wales at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. For those who might not know, it’s a massive role where he’ll be the guiding force and spokesperson for the team, helping the athletes stay motivated and ready to shine.

Gethin didn’t just land this gig without putting in the work. He returned to uni and earned a Master’s in Sports Directorship. Balancing that with his TV job? Hats off! Now he’s ready to make a difference as he leads 114 Welsh athletes competing in 10 thrilling sports. From boxing to swimming, our athletes are set to give it their all over an action-packed 10 days.
