🚨 Former BBC Presenter Jailed Again! 🚨

Disgraced ex-BBC Radio Bristol host Peter Rowell, 67, is back behind bars after breaching sex offender notification rules. Previously jailed in 2012 for 12 counts of indecent assault on girls under 16, Rowell has been sentenced to an additional 29 weeks in prison.

The court heard Rowell travelled 30 miles to Pontypridd, South Wales, without alerting authorities. He stayed at a property for more than 12 hours where a teenager was present, violating the terms he was given when registered as a sex offender.
Rowell’s past saw him jailed for horrific crimes involving young girls. He admitted to possessing over 400 indecent images and making indecent photographs of children. He was previously a presenter on BBC Radio Bristol and ITV West and worked as a DJ in the 80s.
His latest offences include failing to notify police of another seven-day stay at a different address. The Crown says these breaches show Rowell continues to ignore the law, even after more than a decade since his initial conviction.
Judge David Ticehurst once described Rowell’s career as one that many would envy, hiding a dark secret behind his glamorous public image.
It’s a stark reminder that justice persists, and those exploiting their positions for harm face consequences. Stay informed, stay safe! 🔒
