🌟 From Bouncing at Cardiff Bars to UFC Stardom! 🌟

Meet Ffion Davies, the Swansea powerhouse making waves in the world of UFC! Once a bouncer at a buzzing Cardiff bar, Ffion is now set to take the stage in Las Vegas for her first UFC bout, facing Brazil’s Cassia Moura for the inaugural women’s bantamweight title. 🥋✨

Ffion’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. A multiple world title winner in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, she started her journey with dreams of being a UFC fighter. “I wanted to be a UFC fighter. So I guess I get to do that without being punched in the face, which is quite nice!” she jokes. 😊
Before the bright lights of Vegas, Ffion honed her skills while working late nights as a bouncer. And despite her move to the grand stage, she fondly recalls her early days, sharing: “Being a bouncer was good practice… and much better than bartending where I could be rude back!” 😂
Life hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Ffion faced challenges, especially in a male-dominated sport. But with sheer determination and a love for jiu-jitsu, she found her way. “I’ve found very few things that I’ve been like wanting to concentrate on… but it was never difficult for me to turn up to training. I feel like I get so much out of it.” 💪
Despite the sometimes harsh world of social media, Ffion’s humour keeps her grounded. Addressing online negativity, she laughs off a bizarre threat with, “You have to pay a £50 drop-in fee at least!”
Ffion’s story is one of resilience, breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations of female fighters. With role models like Ronda Rousey inspiring her, she’s determined to make a stand for the growing number of women in MMA, saying, “It’s not just me anymore… There’s lots of girls coming in. And they shouldn’t have to hear this.”
