In a shocking incident, Connor Mortimer, 31, has been sentenced to 16 months in prison after threatening to rape his ex-partner and “hang her off a bridge.” These appalling threats surfaced after his former partner began seeing someone new, following the end of their relationship in 2022.

Despite a restraining order prohibiting contact with the victim, Mortimer showed up at her residence, armed with a garden light as if to spear, and later unleashed a tirade of abusive online messages. In his furious posts, he referred to his ex as a “dirty little rat” and boasted about not fearing the police.

The victim, deeply traumatized, shared how these threats have left her anxious, paranoid, and struggling with simple tasks. Even with Mortimer now behind bars, she fears he might enlist others to harm her.
