Running in honour of Kyle, the England rugby union coach highlighted the far-reaching impact of MND, reminding everyone that this devastating condition isn’t just an older person’s disease. Despite being only 14, Kyle faced MND bravely after a diagnosis earlier this year turned his world upside down.

Kyle, from Pontypridd, was just enjoying all the things a teenager should – taekwondo, school, and friends – until MND started to take its toll. His battle ended after a rapid decline, leaving his family heartbroken. Sharing their loss on Facebook, they lovingly remembered him as their “little superhero” with an unforgettable smile that brightened even the darkest days.

From the Swansea.com Stadium, Kevin expressed his sorrow, saying, “It’s devastating,” and dedicated the day’s run to Kyle, his family, and all those affected by MND.

Motor neurone disease is a cruel condition that stops messages from the brain reaching muscles, causing them to weaken and waste away. It often affects those over 50, but Kyle’s story shows it can touch even the youngest among us.
