🚗 New Driving Test Rules Alert! 🚗
Starting TODAY, big changes are happening for learner drivers across the UK. The DVSA is shaking up the way you can book your driving test to ensure a fair deal for everyone hitting the roads.
Here’s the scoop:
– From now on, it’s illegal for third parties, like unofficial booking services and even driving instructors, to book or change tests on someone else’s behalf. This means the end of reselling test slots at crazy prices! 🎉
– Learners will only pay the standard DVSA fee: £62 on weekdays and £75 on evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
– Remember, you can only make two changes to your test slot since the rule kicked in on March 31.
– And from June 9, you can only move your test to one of the three nearest test centres. No more booking at faraway locations unless you’re planning to take your test there!
Beverley Warmington, DVSA’s chief, says these changes are all about giving control back to learners and stopping any exploitation by third-party businesses. 🙌
Drive safely and get ready to take the wheel of your test booking!
