🌿 From Drab to Fab: The Garden Transformation 🌿
Meet Clive Jeffries, the man who turned an unremarkable patch of grass in Gorseinon, Swansea into a botanical wonderland! During the long days of lockdown, Clive looked at his dull backyard and saw a canvas waiting to be painted. With time on his hands and a newfound hobby, he rolled up his sleeves and got to work.
What started as a self-taught pastime has become a stunning masterpiece and a source of inspiration for many. Clive’s garden isn’t just about beauty—it’s a community hub and a source of home-grown produce for friends, neighbours, and local food banks! 🥕🌼
Clive’s journey caught the eye of David Jones from the People’s Library, an organisation dedicating to storytelling through community projects. In celebration of Clive’s dedication, the Swansea Grand Theatre recently showcased his breathtaking garden journey. Not only did Clive share his tips and tales, but he also received the prestigious Community Champion award from the People’s Library, awarded by Michelle Thomas.
With support from the Community Lives Consortium, Clive is more than just a gardener—he’s a green-thumbed guru, mentoring others in transforming their greenspaces too. His efforts come free of charge, offering immense value to those who need it most.
Thinking of turning your garden into a haven of colourful blooms or delicious vegetables? Look no further than Clive for some inspiration and expert guidance! 🌺
