🏉 George North: Embracing Life in France 🇫🇷
Rugby star George North is living his best life in France and loving every moment! After hanging up his international boots back in 2024 with an impressive 121 caps for Wales, he’s now tearing it up with French second-tier side Provence. It’s not just about rugby for George; it’s a full-on French adventure with his wife Becky and their kids.
Just months after a recovery from an Achilles injury, George finally made his debut for Provence and has been a powerhouse ever since, scoring two tries in 16 appearances. His team is eyeing a promotion to the prestigious Top 14, and George is more determined than ever to make it happen. But the big guy isn’t just tackling on the field; he’s diving headfirst into the vibrant French culture. 🥖🍷
In a chat with Richard Parks on a podcast, George shared how much he’s loving the passionate rugby atmosphere in Provence. Matchdays are a real spectacle with packed stands and lively bands, creating an electric vibe he’s come to adore. And let’s not mention the fresh seafood and rosé you can grab at the games—talk about très français!
For George and his family, moving to France was also about embracing a new lifestyle. The North family is adjusting just fine, with even little Tomi shocking his parents by asking for vinaigrette at dinner! 😆 They’re soaking up the French life, baguettes and all, with George even admitting he’s become the guy who strolls to the boulangerie each morning with the children.
With his contract up at the end of the season, who knows what’s next for this rugby legend? One thing’s for sure—life in France has been an adventure filled with new friends, experiences, and memories. George sums it up perfectly: “It’s been everything I thought it would be and more.”
Stay tuned for what’s next in George’s rugby journey and his family’s French escapades. 🏆💪 #RugbyLife #GeorgeNorth #FrenchAdventure
