Meet Anastasia Morris and her amazing pals, Donna and Pamela, who just hosted the UK’s first-ever weight loss festival—and what a success it was! After shedding a collective 36 stone between them, these inspiring women came together to create Barifest, a fab event where individuals could connect over their weight loss stories, spanning from surgery and jabs to diet and exercise.
Anastasia, 34, from Llanymynech, wowed everyone with her journey from 32st to 14st 9lbs following gastric bypass surgery. The festival, held at Field Good Bar in Bath, brought together 75 participants at various stages of their transformations. It was all about community, fun, and not having to worry about things like fitting into chairs or beds. 🎤💪
Barifest was packed with activities like crafting, karaoke, exercise classes, wellness workshops, and even “boozy bingo.” The music headliner, DJ Shortee Blitz, got everyone dancing. Plus, there were consultations with plastic surgeons for those considering that next step.
Pamela, from Wolverhampton, opened up about the isolation that can follow weight loss surgery and how Barifest helped create a supportive family of like-minded people. With plans already underway for 2027, the trio can’t wait to welcome even more attendees next year!
